Former Falcon wins Division II National Title

by Justin Moses

Congratulations to the Valdosta State Blazers and former Florida Falcon Denzel Heck in winning the Division II NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

Denzel Heck was a league standout receiver for the Florida Falcons and the GDFL during the 2014 GDFL season in which the Falcons won their division and conference championships only to fall in the semi finals to the eventual GDFL league champion Central Penn Piranhas.

Denzel moved on to Valdosta State University to pursue his degree and play for the Blazers. He started off as a receiver before being moved to the secondary as a corner where he was a member of the 2018 Division II National Championship team that defeated Ferris State 49-47.

Denzel is from Jacksonville, Florida and attended Ed White High School.
