Falcons struggling to take Flight in 2021 season

by Justin Moses

The Florida Falcons lost their second game in a row to start the 2021 IAFL season Saturday March 27th 2021. This is the first time in team history that the Florida Falcons have started a season 0-2. The Falcons have lost both games by 2 points and have struggled with penalties, miscues on offense and special teams. Saturdays game was originally slated for Madison County, Florida against the Wrens Colts, but was moved to Trenton, South Carolina on Monday March 22nd, which posed a lot of logistical problems for the Falcons who only traveled with 25 rostered players.

"We've added a lot of talent this season and improved ourselves at offensive line, but we're just making too many mistakes and senseless penalties. I'm excited about our new additions, but we have to start clicking on offense. Our defensive unit is better this year, but if you keep any defense on the field the majority of a game and cannot score offensively, you're not going to be very successful or win many games" added Coach Justin Moses.

The Falcons hope to regroup the next two weeks before they play the Savannah Falcons (formally the Savannah Titans) April 10th here in Jacksonville, Florida. Game time will be 5pm at Ridgeview High School in Orange Park.
