Falcons Run Through Division Champs

by Justin Moses

The Florida Falcons got off to a slow start in the second round of the IAFL playoffs at Memorial Field in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday night. Florida found themselves down early 2-0 on an errant snap and a myriad of offensive penalties. After one quarter the Savannah Raiders lead the Florida Falcons.

Florida started to put things together offensively in the second quarter with their ground game. Florida's defense who has lead them all season long scoring a touchdown in every game played this season, again stepped up when free safety Kapo Springette picked off a Raiders pass and returned it 41 yards for the Florida Falcons first touchdown of the game. Falcons defense tightened their grip in the second quarter not allowing the Raiders to cross mid field for most of the game. After another defensive interception by cornerback Cleve Smith, running back John Singleton found the endone to go up 12-2 over the Nightmare Division Champion Savannah Raiders.
