The Florida Falcons welcomed the 2020 IAFL and Sunshine Bowl National Champions to Jacksonville, Florida, Saturday, April 24th. The Sumter Sharks came into the game averaging 46 points a game and giving up only 5 points. The Florida Falcons entered the game only averaging 15 points a game and giving up 11 points. The Sharks jumped out to an early 14-0 lead before Falcons Safety Brian Martin Jr. picked off IAFL league MVP, Dalvin Bracey, and raced 72 yards for the Falcons score. A missed extra point by the Falcons kept the score at 14-6 Sharks.

Sumter answered with a quick touchdown on the ensuing drive to go up 20-6 and then added a punt return for touchdown after a Falcons 3 and out to make it 26-6. The Falcons offense put together a nice drive, scoring right before halftime with a touchdown strike to receiver Devin Johnson from quarterback Ulysses "Boobie" Tobler. A 2-point conversion failed, making the score 26-12 at the half.

The Falcons received the second half kickoff and marched right down the field into Shark territory. The drive was thwarted when Tobler threw an interception to a Sharks linebacker. It was all Sumter after that. Multiple interceptions and another punt return-for-touchdown led the visiting Sumter Sharks to end the game with a final score of 53-12.

"They're a really good team that has been together awhile and knows how to capitalize off your mistakes. I felt that we had the playmakers to keep it close, but when you turn the ball over 4 times, throw 2 pick six, and give up 2 kick returns for touchdowns, you're not going to win. Hats off to Coach Kennedy and the Sumter Sharks. They showed us why they're the National Champions, " stated Head Coach Justin Moses.
